Northampton, Massachusetts

Northampton, originally called Nonotuck was founded by settlers from Springfield, Massachusetts in 1654. The town is famous for it's 18th Century preacher and resident Jonathan Edwards and the home and place of death of President Calvin Coolidge. Northampton has an interesting history. A page about the history of Northampton is planned for this site. For now, we offer the photo galleries listed below for the town which includes many photos from the oldest cemetery in Northampton, The Bridge Street Cemetery.

Founders of Northampton

Northampton was originally founded by a few men who arrived in 1654. A list of founders can be viewed here. Seven of them are my ancestors and several others are brothers of my ancestors.

Northampton has an interesting history. I plan on adding a page about the history of Northampton in 2020.
